NORMAN RODWAY (Adolf Hitler)
Norman Rodway, a veteran of British stage and screen, stars as the imprisoned Hitler,
moving from dark comedy to pathos as he reviews his fantasies, beliefs and deeds after
World War II. Rodway's previous film credits include playing Hotspur in Orson Welles'
"Chimes At Midnight," as well as the British features "The Penthouse," "I'll Never
Forget What's 'Is Name" and "Four In The Morning," and Keith Gordon's adaptation of
Kurt Vonnegut's novel, "Mother Night," with Nick Nolte.
Rodway has performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company since 1966, with starring roles
ranging from the title role in "Richard III" to "Love Labour's Lost" in the USA. His most
recent stage appearance was in the National Theatre production of "The Seagull." On
television, he has taken starring roles in "Danton's Death," "A Month In The Country,"
"The Critic," "Out" and the 18-part British series, "The Bretts." His most recent television
appearances include leading roles in Agatha Christie's "The Mirror Crack'd" and as General
Smuts in an episode of "The Young Indiana Jones."
Described as "one of the great radio actors of his generation" by The Independent On
Sunday, Rodway has made over 300 broadcasts for BBC Radio and was named Best Radio
Actor in 1980 for his performance in "The Faith Healer."
JOEL GREY (Joseph Goebbels)
Joel Grey stars as Hitler's quick-tongued confidante, Joseph Goebbels. A leading star in
virtually every medium of entertainment, Grey is perhaps best known for his Tony and Oscar
Award-winning performances as the master of ceremonies in both the classic stage musical
and the equally acclaimed film, "Cabaret."
His film credits include Frank Perry's "Man On A Swing," Robert Altman's "Buffalo Bill and
the Indians," Herbert Ross' "The Seven Percent Solution" and "Remo Williams: The Adventure
Begins," for which he received a Golden Globe Nomination. Other notable stage roles include
his performance as George M. Cohan in "George M." for which he won a second Tony nomination.
He received his third Tony nomination for his performance as Charles VII in the musical
"Goodtime Charley" and his fourth Tony nomination for "The Grand Tour." Recently Grey has
been seen on Broadway and London's West End in the hit musical "Chicago." Grey continues
to be a popular star of television as well as concert venues and nightclubs.
CAMILLA SOEBERG (Eva Braun)
Camilla Soeberg provides Hitler with inspiration as the enigmatic Eva Braun. Soeberg won
Denmark's Best Actress Award for her debut leading role in Bille August's "Twist and Shout"
and has subsequently starred in Dusan Makavejev's "Manifesto," James Clark's "Yellow Pages,"
Monika Treut's "Erotique" and Dreamworks' "The Mouse Hunt" with Nathan Lane. She has appeared
on American television in "Murder She Wrote."
DOUG McKEON (Typist)
Doug McKeon is the typist who takes Hitler's dictation as he reminisces. McKeon made his
film debut as Billy in Mark Rydell's Oscar-winning hit "On Golden Pond" and has since
appeared in "Mischief," "Turnaround" and "Where The Red Fern Grows II."
He has also appeared in several television movies, including a starring role as Ray Mancini
in "Heart Of A Champion: The Ray Mancini Story" and most recently in Tom Hanks' Emmy
award-winning "From The Earth To The Moon." On stage, he has appeared in "Brighton Beach
Memoirs," replacing Matthew Broderick in the Broadway production.
PETER MICHAEL GOETZ (Sigmund Freud)
Peter Michael Goetz is Sigmund Freud, who confronts the psyche of Adolf Hitler in THE
EMPTY MIRROR. Goetz has been seen in numerous features, including starring as the father
of the groom in "Father of the Bride I and II," Whoopi Goldberg's boss in "Jumpin' Jack
Flash," Jack Lemmon's doctor in "Dad," Garp's publisher in "The World According to Garp,"
Gene Wilder's therapist in "Another You," Matthew Broderick's father in "Glory," and the
D.A. who brings "The Prince of the City" to a stunning resolution. His other credits
include "My Girl," "My Little Girl," "Wolfen," "Best Defense," "King Kong Lives," and
"Beer."
On television, he has appeared in more than a dozen made-for-television movies and starred
as Barnard Hughes' son in the series "The Cavanaughs," Linda Lavin's neighbor on "Room for
Two" as well as on "One of the Boys," "After-M.A.S.H." and "Twin Peaks."
GLENN SHADIX (Hermann Goehring)
Glenn Shadix is Hermann Goehring, Hitler's second-in-command who oversaw his failed battle
plans. A familiar face on American televison and screen, Shadix's film credits include "The
Postman Always Rings Twice," "Sunset," "Meet The Applegates," "Sleepwalkers," "Heathers,"
"Bingo," "Beetlejuice," "The Nightmare Before Christmas," "Demolition Man," "It Runs In
the Family," "Love Affair," "Dunston Checks In" and most recently "Multiplicity" with
Michael Keaton.
On TV, he has been seen in a recurring role on the acclaimed "John Larroquette Show" as
well as numerous guest spots ranging from "Dinosaurs" to "Dave's World." Shadix has also
appeared in many Los Angeles and regional theatre productions.
HOPE ALLEN - (Woman In Black)
Hope Allen plays the mysterious, beautiful Woman In Black. Hope's film credits include
"Liar, Liar," "Batman Forever," "Night of the Running Man." Among Hope's many television
credits are guest appearances on "Frasier," "Friends," "Suddenly Susan," and
"Baywatch."
